Dollar Tree Bandits
Well, the club-footed and meth-toothed bandits have struck again. The Gwinnett County (Georgia) Police Department is currently seeking out two alleged (and apparently unique) shoplifters for attempting to steal $166.31 worth of merchandise from the South Garnett Street Dollar General. And yes, that means they stole 166 items.

Alien Car Chase
A somewhat reckless driver has been “banned from driving” after ramming a police car. Apparently, the driver believed he was being pursued by aliens, and he was easily apprehended by police following a low-speed chase. He has also been ordered to receive “psychiatric treatment.” Yeah, we think that might be a good idea.

Coupon Madness
In a down economy, everyone is looking to cut corners and save money whenever possible. An especially frugal woman in Florida has really taken this to heart as she reportedly became very upset with her local Wal-Mart when they would not honor her dollar-off coupon. The woman brandished a .38 Special in the parking lot, pointed it at several employees, and was later detained by police officers when she attempted to make her getaway. Ironically, she was driving a Ford Escape. No word has been given on whether or not the coupon was valid.

Parent-Teacher Kidnapping
In a fairly brilliant move, a young boy in Spain managed to avoid the dreaded parent-teacher conference by staging his own kidnapping. After giving his parents the slip while taking out the trash, the kid sent his father a text message saying that he had been kidnapped. He then went and hung out at another one of his family’s homes while his father—a police officer—sent out a search “all the way into Portugal.” The parent-teacher conference was canceled. Well played, kid.
